I've known about this place for a while and have known there is building working work going on, but I did want to see the place before it was too late.
However I think I was a month or two too late, the poor place really has seen better days. Much of it is under scaffolding. Pretty much all of it was wired up to generators (that were running) and in some places the builders lights were still left switched on!
This really is a live, muddy, building site now. And although we got there early on a Saturday we still managed to bump into builders who arrived for work at 7am. One of which we met outside the fencing and was still a complete ar*e h*le with a bad attitude!
There were a few bits left to see, but I doubt those will be there for long. I was amazed to find the hall and piano still, and even more amazed these are not on the ground floor!
Photos below, I fear these will be some of the last ones ever :'( I've tried to keep all the wires and builders stuff out of the photos as much as possible, but the outside shots show how bad it is. Compared to photos from earlier this year it has definitely gone downhill rapidly.
