Whilst on the way to a recent trip to Scotland I decided to give this place a look.been meaning for over a year to go.but never got around to it.so it was main aim on route.i spent ages here.going through all the buildings.so glad to see this finally and it was worth it.the decay and colours are superb.i would put it on a par with west raynham.sadly the yobs are slowly getting in.with some smashed windows and graffiti appearing.the site is quite extensive with several buildings to explore.there is officers quarters.servicemen quarters.mess halls.several kitchens..I would definitely revisit this place at some point.
First building was the crew quarter building.not much to see in here and was a bit off a mess.there was two of these blocks.shaped in an "I" shape.
The entry to the bunker.i did look arounf it was in pitch darkness.i did not have time to take shots in here as I was on a tight time scale.maybe next time.
Not sure what this building was.it had a lot of modern bits on..
One of the crew quarters.loved the green tiles in here.it had a lovely long tiled corridor with corrugated sides.
The officers mess.the lovely tiled dining room is lovely.
The officers living quarters.
The lovely fern room.it was incredibly damp in here.
Lots of rooms in one of the other blocks with los of fine furniture in.
This building was pron the most derelict of the lot.the kitchen all collapsed.the dining room all the boards removed.
Heading down a corridor had sunk in.there was just some crew rooms.
A little block at the back this was used for storing foods and deliveries
Washing facilities for the food storage block.health and safety and all that.
