Blue Tarp Farmhouse - June 2016

Here's a house I found a little while ago but only just got to explore it now. This is located on a farm in the middle of nowhere and I was lucky to find no one around when I got there. The house is huge, unfortunately it's just a shell and currently being used for storage. The windows have been covered up with blue tarp to prevent it from decaying more than it already has. This has been abandoned before the days of running water and electricity. A peaceful explore, despite the dark blue light colour inside.

There's a lot of nice features such as the door frames and the doors of what remains. Door locks been removed, fireplaces opened up. Looks like its being prepared for renovation.

Very appropriately named!

If this is what I suspect it is, one has here a very old and very significant timber framed dwelling, clad in much later brickwork. Sadly the relatively modern panelled and T&G doors don't really compliment the two much older doors seen. The construction of brickwork fireplaces is quite a common method of supporting new timber beams or steels to support and keep the original framework standing.

A very nicely photographed set, that really tells the present-day story of this place.

Nice one, love the eerieness from the blue light coming through the tarp too!
