After reading Skeleton Key and Troglodyte's recent reports I decided to go take a butchers. It was a beautiful sunny day (unlike theirs

) with some great light entering through it's many windows. It was rank with dead pigeon and **** in the lower levels. Anyone wanting to check it out I'd insist they take a mask.

Healing's Mill is an imposing Victorian steam-powered mill on the banks of the River Avon. This river once brought barges loaded with corn here from the docks at Avonmouth. Most of the original barges, which were named after local villages, have been sold, but other larger barges were used as recently as the 1990s to bring European wheat from the coast at Sharpness. The mill was built for Samuel Healing in 1865 by W H James, but the massive South wing was added in 1889.

It was closed in November 2006 and its future remains uncertain with large structural issues affecting the silo building...

IT sure was!! was just thinking how the hell was it done when virtually all access was underwater haha.

Great piks and report , was a real downer being "rained off" as it were.

Yeh have to admitt we were soaked through after a night in browns mine and in what felt like a mini tsunami almost ran through here and missed some cracking bits on the working side
