I visited this site a couple of weeks ago and the site is well wrecked. Word on the street is that it was set on fire deliberately but who knows.
The school was built in 1882 as shown in one of the pics and has served the local one street local community until 1999, there have been various planning applications to develope the site and the last one submitted or ammended was as follows:-

The former Infant's School in Blaenrhondda is generally a single storey building constructed in circa 1882. The main body of the building is of stone construction with a Welsh slate roof. There is brickwork to window openings, quoins and banding. The front/North elevation of the building has two flat roof small extensions consisiting of facing brickwork, in front of the original building.

The school remains in its arson inflicted derelict state today.
