The history of this place is here http://caerleon.net/history/clawdd/index.htm
and to be quite honest it's a shock to me as the place is a total wreck.
Just to think it was purchased by Celtic Manor in 1995.
Celtic manor is the Stasi/KGB looking Hotel block on the hill you see from the M4 as you get into Wales after the bridge.

Pics - a pretty one first then the sad ones

Sad......
Thanks for looking.

When you read the history of the house from the attached link, the very last line is quite poignant.
Clawdd is now just over 100 years old... what does the next 100 years have in store for it?

Great images, particularly the second shot. When you consider the condition of the house when it was sold in 1995, it is shocking that it has been allowed to get into this state.
