Team MO2W took a jolly to the county of Lincolnshire recently, taking in the county hospital, a couple of tunnels and an ROC post. This hospital was the highlight of the day for me as I have been longing to get into a building of this type for some time. The Lincoln County Hospital was built in 1875 with further ancillary wings added in 1891.
It would appear that the old Victorian wings were closed in 1998.
This was an interesting explore from the point of view that the disused section is attached to the live hospital and on occasions, staff were seen going about their duties through connecting doors.
We didn't find the "iron lung", but I have seen reports that state it's just a demo and not the real thing.

5.The reverse side of the operating lights looked like something from a 1950's sci-fi movie - loved it!!!
