Deva (Countess of Chester) Asylum - November 2008 (Pic Heavy)

Had a trip to Chester to see Deva.
After going up and down the same stretch of motorway several times, we finally found her.

Think we all know the history on the place, so i'll get on with the pics

What a great day.
i did manage to lose my lens hood with a few filters attached.

if anybody finds it, and is honest enough to return it, i'd love to hear from you :)

Brill pictures, ahh i know that feeling, i loose quite a few things on night explores, a night explore of severalls cost me the plastic lens on my maglite a manhole lifting key and some skin lol, night explores are dangerous :p

Thanks Urby :)

i stepped back to take a pic of the stepladder room, and disappeared down an open hole.
no injuries, but everyone else came running from where they were to see.
i was ok, so we LOL'd and carried on

not as bad as i thought with the missing stuff...
still have a step up ring and filter on the camera.
so just missing another step up ring, one filter and hood.

can get them again cheap enough if nobody finds it ;)

Wandering around severalls kitchens i nearly forgot about the open access covers in the floor, that would of been a painful drop into a crawl space lol, still i have that dying urge to go back again hehe.

Do it, you know you want to

i know a few that have gone down holes (accidentally).
must be some kind of explorer traps

 Yeah, I once fell halfway through a floor, and nearly stepped into a manhole when I was backing up to take a shot (SmileySal stopped me just as I was on the edge!  ).

You know, I'm not much a fan of either hospitals or HDR, but I've got to say that your photos are superb. Good stuff! :)

Thanks Foxy :)

I think we should start wearing one of them inflatable sumo or gimp suits for safety :mrgreen:

Wet back and found my stuff
Smashed to **** though :( think somebody ran over it in a Chieftain by the looks of it
Might be able to rescue the rubber lens hood if the thread isn't damaged.

Anyway.. made a little vid of the 2 visits :)
( my first ever go at making one , so be nice  ).
