I had an initial explore of the Colthrop site. There's more to see and photograph for another time. The history doesn't need repeating - it's all here already.

I'm calling this the drowning pool. Very creepy.

Those cuts look clean and recent. Probably the same bunch who nicked the copper at Greenham Common recently.

Finally, who can resist a good fungi pic

Nice shots :D Was here yesterday trying out my new camera. Did you travel down to the abandoned houses just a bit further along the canal?

It's a bit strange i saw this report as i was about to put my pics up of the place!

Thanks Liam!

No, I didn't move any further along. Are the houses on the same side of the fence as where I took the pics?

Would like to see your pics too please. Mine were taken with a new camera, just a little Ixus, which I'm quite pleased with. A bit easier to explore with than my enormous 5D + battery grip etc.

The houses are a bit further down but very trashed, glad you found the place mate hope my directions helped lol

I'm going to put my pics onto my old report, because i got some internal shots this time due to actually having a camera not just my phone :p My camera is nothing special, it's just a replacement to my phone camera :D

I'm also going to post up a report on the houses from pics i took yesterday. They are extremely trashed but it might be worth a look if you ever go back to the paper mill. if you walk past the entrance to the paper mill for about 5 minutes you see the houses hidden behind the trees. :D I think they were used by staff of the paper mill but I'm not entirely sure :)

Your directions helped, yes! Not where I expected the place to be. Many thanks.
