Done quite a bit of research into this site along with some other airfields I am working on. Airfield opened January 25th 1941 as a satellite to RAF Kinloss as a bomber training unit and operated aircraft such as the Armstrong Whitley, Avro Anson and the Vickers Wellington. It closed to aircraft on 22nd of October 1944 and was then used as a Prisoner of War camp till mid 1947. Not a lot remains now no trace of runways but from a old map I got I have shown where I believe they ran. Anyway enough of the history and on with the pictures.
The Taxiway
Taxiway with Hanger
How i believe the Runways ran view taken from corner of field looking back to Bervie Chipper
Possible Obs Tower ??? or might be something to do with firing range
Some of the buildings think the were accomodation ones
Some hidden away huts workshops maybe these were made of timber as opposed to the brick the rest had
Some stores
I think this one was a bomb store
And finallly the Anderson Shelter
