Raf bungay was a planned satellite for raf hardwick.It was built in 1942 and was eventually home to The U.S. Eighth airforce. And liberators were flown out of here..

I visited the museum down the road then set off to find the remaining buildings on the technical site.i was surprised that there was more buildings here than I expected.the highlight had to be the Original wartime graffiti on the walls.and still in very good condition.

WOW !! Great find !! I absolutely love finding original grafitti/signage. This would be an excellent night time shoot !! Great pics too mate !!
 
I love these paces. My uncle and granddad leased an ex RAF base to farm in the 50s and 60s and I spent many a happy hour wandering round various buildings, above and below ground
