Hi All

(Site 1) of our 3 day trip to Devon and Cornwall first saw us rock up at the old control tower at the former RAF Winkleigh, The airfield opened in 1943 and closed in 1958 used for fighters of number 10 group.

Well chav`d but hay-ho.

Hiya Newage; just noticed this one. I've had RAF Winkleigh on my wish list for many years but never made it. Mind, is it just the control tower that's left now or did you not have time to explore further?

it was only a brief visit, I think there are other bits and bobs around the site but we had too push on.
