Upon arrival at the site a small group of chavvy teens were finishing off the last of the windows but vanished quick enough when they saw me.
Needless to say the local kids have trashed Taxal lodge so for the most part the ground floor is boarded up except for a door around the back of the hall that was open.
inside the floors are solid (which is always a bonus) but almost everything has been stripped out or smashed .
All I could find out about the hall including the longitude and latitude are below
Long + lat =53.318907, -1.991951

Taxal lodge was built in 1904 and was the home of Lt. Col. H. Ramsden Jodrell.who died in1950. The lodge then became a special school. This Lodge replaced an earlier Taxal Lodge originally built futher up the valley on the site
