Originally constructed in 1902, Rothley Church of England Junior School was extended significantly in the later 20th century. On the 23rd of December 2014 the old school closed for ever, and the pupils walked to the site of the new school led by a piper. After only a few months of being abandoned the school is going downhill fast, most of the damage appearing to have been caused by local kids. Theres the usual trashing, piles of junk food wrappers, and walls scrawled with mentions of smoking weed and freeing Gucci Mane (because living in a pleasant Leicestershire village is so ghetto) The site is due to be cleared for a housing development in the near future.
