This was the 3rd stop of the day i went to Lincs, a nice and relaxed solo visit. Had wanted to have a look for some time, then never was in the right place at the right time. I'm glad i made the effort as this is my first station that I have looked at and it is full of character.

Gedney station was in south Lincolnshire, it opened in 1862 and was part of the midland and north joint railway and it shut in 1959.

on with the photos

thanks for looking

Lovely photos as always jsp77 :) I really love the decay in this place! The tree growing near the fireplace is amazing.

One for the "Restoration Man" TV series, perhaps, always assuming someone is brave (foolish?) enough to take it on!
