Every now and then something makes an appearance online that makes you do a double take. For a while now I've seen friends of mine in the States posting photos of this location but it took me a while to get around to tracking it down. Whilst staying with a friend in Maryland I realised that they were only a few hours drive away so thought a day trip would be in order, thankfully he was just as enthusiastic about it as I was and we set off with a rough set of details of the location. Arriving further south than I've ever explored before the oppressive heat immediately hit me, it was very very hot and humid indeed with a blazing sun and cloudless sky.
I think this is the most different 'out there' unique abandoned thing I have ever photographed. Honestly it's difficult to describe the sight of around forty 20-foot high busts of former presidents sat on some waste ground at the back of an active lumber yard. I think almost every president is accounted for up to and including Bill Clinton. They apparently came out of a closed down theme park which shut it's doors in around 2009, the busts were removed and put in storage on this piece of land.
Anyway, here they are...
Thanks for looking
