Quick Stop At Necton Diner
Sadly no food remained...
Well I had wanted to have a nose around here but both times it was a no go, first being a local moaning I shouldnt be taking pictures (he hung around for awhile, so I just left) an second time it was no access anywhere, well I was in the area driving home and Necton Diner was on the list after a relaxing day exploring some houses, and I knew it was open this time (big thanks goes to Mikey for letting me know).
Having walked around what looked more like a scene for the walking dead, crossed with a recent rave party it had become clear no one cares about the place anymore, especially looking around at the vandalism, heck even a police car drove by and didnt blink an eyelid. I really did love it though, rather a guilty pleasure this place, I had passed it a few times long before I knew it was really abandoned, the idea of a roadside cafe never interested me, especially when maybe a service station was close.
Necton Diner closed around 2010, was a setting for an independent film, could easily be used in a british zombie film (I need to stop thinking of zombies). Necton has been brought to my knowledge, but I guess they are just waiting for it to get more an more wrecked or fire struck, I am unsure on its condition now as this was awhile ago.
Well after seeing all I wanted to, venturing on the roof, noticing most of the toilets now had grass and enjoying the atmosphere this place has, it was a good 20 plus minutes wasted, not the best mind you but I just really loved the sign so extra points for that in my book!
On with the shots!
As always thanks for looking, I know the place is rather beat up, I must stay away from places like this!
