Been done to death I know but enjoyed a visit here yesterday so thought I would share.
If u dont know the history, its basically tonnes of intricate scrap metal that were half mile & 1 mile radio telescopes used for astronomical observations.
Owned by Cambridge university but funded by Mullard (the maker of radio valves) the site is partially operational but a substantial amount is not used!
the explore was easy enough, there are live cctv & have read several reports of chases occurring, but we skirted these easily & kept out of trouble.
Apologies for marks on some of the pics, I seem to have something on my mirrors I cant remove!
