Not been putting up any reports for a while. That’s not because I haven’t been getting out there – it’s just because I’ve been getting out and about quite a long way away and I’ve only just got back! The places in question are Hong Kong and Taiwan so brace yourselves for a wave of Asia urbex reports. Some of them are quite impressive places, others are more mundane. Anyhow there are over 20 to come over the next few weeks so I hope you don’t all get bored.
The first report is actually a collection of 3-4 places that didn’t merit a report in their own right. Hence I’ve bundled them together as they were all in-and-around the Tin Shui Wai area in the north-west of HK.
The first two are a couple of abandoned houses on the Ping Shan Heritage trail.
This one wasn’t such an old building:

The second just round the corner was very, very old and more far gone:

Next up is an abandoned house up the road from Lau Fan Shan. It would have been nice to have a shuffty inside but the compound was tightly fenced off so externals only here:

Finally is this curious place. It’s the monastery of Wan Fou Sin Koon. I say curious as it is in very good nick but just appears to be totally deserted. I had a look for it on the web and all I could find on the place is that it was robbed by an armed gang back in 1998 when they made off with HK$100,000 of stuff.

Clearly somebody is keeping some of the place clean:

But not up in this part:

OK…a modest start. The more spectacular is to come in the next report!
