These are the abandoned workers houses at the Daer Waterworks in Lanarkshire. built in the 1950's along with the nearby reservoir and water treatment plant, they were left when the works were automated around the year 2000. It was this location that really got me interested in exploring when I first visited in 2007. At that time the homes hadn't been vandalised and many were left as if the owners had just left. Among the items I found were clothes, televisions, beds, schoolbooks and children's toys but I didn't have a camera with me
I didn't get a chance to go back until 2012 and by this time the houses had been trashed and the water company were sealing them up, my wife took these pictures (sorry no internals). I went back recently and the houses have been demolished
They have featured on here way back in 2006 but the photos have gone and the member is no longer active on the forum. Has anyone else been here? Any more pictures or info would be great. Hope you enjoy.
