I've always loved the look of the numerous ruinous Scottish manor houses dotted around the countryside, so I was all over the chance to see a few for myself. It's a different kind of location to that which I'd normally go out and shoot, but these once grand ruined houses are something a little special.
Lathallan House is one that's kind of forgotten about, it's not the biggest nor most spectacular but it's got a partly intact staircase, a basement, and a certain charm being sat in a field all on it's own. It was built in 1826 and was reported as being in a derelict uninhabitable state nearly 30 years ago. It sadly appears to be beyond any kind of viable restoration, the costs involved would be astronomical to get the building in an inhabitable state again.
Thanks for looking
