So, finally got a chance to visit this place as I've been wanting to the past month.

Knowing that demo work was well and truly underway, I knew that time was getting on, and that if I left it any longer the place would either be locked up tight or there wouldn't be anything worth seeing inside.

Once inside there was clear signs of demo work going on, such as hi-viz jackets, empty drinks cans etc.

Me mate mentioned that he could see a caravan outside, and we could both hear an electricity generator running into the caravan, something wasn't right.

We had an explore for about 2 hours, and while we were both down in the cellar (which was pitch black), I said I needed to pop back upstairs to get my head torch out of my bag.

So, there I am, crouched in the corridor looking in my bag, when I look up to see a man in a dust suit staring at me....

He asked what I was doing there, and I just said 'Fair play mate, I shouldn't be here, you've caught me etc etc'

Once he'd seen we both had cameras and obviously weren't stealing anything etc he had a chat with us about how the demo work was going, and told us that the whole place is being flattened to build a care home, which surprised us, as we thought they'd just renovate the old building.

We had a chat with him, and he was canny, just said we can't stay for obvious reasons, which was fair enough, so we left.

Anyway, enough of my chatter, on with the photos.

Sadly not, I checked all the bottles :(

As a rule I never take anything, but I suppose I'd have been tempted if there was a full bottle of classy wine lol.

Think the workmen took them, percks of the job!

The place doesn't look much different from when it was open, it was a shit hole then as well. The receivers turned up at 7am on the day it closed and informed the guests and staff that the had 20 minutes to get their things and leave. The clothes that are still hanging up are probably from one of the guests that didn't get the full 20 minutes. The management told the staff to take what they wanted before they went but the receivers got everyone out before they could take much. Even the management were escorted out of the building.

Looks like a good place to have a poke around – such as the pockets of other peoples' clothes! ;)
