Visited these sites in February 09. They are very close to each other and situated on Scotland's east coast near to North Berwick. They sit atop a cliff comanding superb views out to Bass Rock and the historic Tantallon Castle. They are only accessible via a toll road that leads to the beach beyond.
I don't really know anything about Auldhame but Seacliff was built by David Bryce in 1841 around a smaller earlier house. It was destroyed by fire at the turn of the century but is still an impressive sight in its ruined state today.
The owner lives in a house right next to the extensive ruin, but I didn't come across anybody during my visit so managed to get a good poke around. I was blessed with good light which made for some nice shots, hope you enjoy :)

Love the 1st pic :) that's a great looking building :exclaim: it's amazing the difference the weather makes to a picture. I'm sure it'd be a miserable place on a cold wet morning :lol:
