Brett works has been derelict for quite a few years. It was originally run by Firmin & Company who were weavers of coconut matting and makers of rope there at the turn of the century. More recently the site is regularly referred to in news reports with regard to Tesco who want to build a store on the site. The place has been vandalised on many occassions the last fire about 18 months ago pretty much brought the place down and now much has been demolished.

As you can see theres a couple of buildings around the outer edge, this was really a preliminary scout and photos have been taken through the locked gate as it was a little late in the day with houses close to the entry.

Got to be the old British sugar silos? you can see them from the A14, its on my list. I found a reference to an ROC underground post near me hear in Hadleigh, When I know more I'll give you a shout, I know that stuffs your thing.
BTW I've lived round here for 7 years and work in Ipswich, and I still get lost there!!!
