Couldn't find any history on this place. All I remember was the faint whiff coming from it, as I passed it in the car in the mid 90s when it was still active.
It covers quite a large area. The first time I had a mooch I came back home to discover on googlemaps I'd only explored half of it. I returned a few weeks later to check the rest out.
