The Octagonal pillbox, situated on the S side of the B5171 road in the grounds of Allerton Hall, Liverpool.
It has a number of different sized embrasures. There is a low brick entrance area.
Constructed in the period 1940-1941 with Clay Brick and Concrete.

Note the crack down the corner(below).

To access the pillbox it was a crawl in.

Nice pics Kevsy. Did the hall have any connection to the navy in WWII? They had a fondness for putting loopholes in the corners of pillboxes as well as the side so it looks naval in origin.

Thanks,im not sure if the hall had any connection to the navy during ww2,some fellow member may know?
