Beaconsfield ROC Post West Side of Broad Lane just south of cemetary. Open June 1958 closed Sept 1991. There is a telegraph pole in the fenced compound. I will add some surface shots soon as it was dark when visited.
When i last visited some years ago the post was locked with padlocks, the post has the MOD security fence and the hedge side facing the roadway has been vaguely secured to stop the casual walker in. The post is graffiti free and at some point has been well repainted. There are a number of water bottles and rubbish inside as well as evidence of an attempt to install 12v lighting. Quite a clean post considering. As ever if you visit take only photographs.Has some of the original features in it
view up ladder
Tool hang
Org ROC tables and BT boxes
Ladder safety sign
BT case 200 ROC issue
Venner time switch to allow crew to vacate post and then the light switches off
BT case 200 ROC issue
Normal and line test board with Brown plug mising. Post would have been left in Line test (RH)position when post vacated and then plug put in normal mode when operational
BPI induction tube
ROC pump
12v?
Thanks for looking.
