WATLINGTON Open December 1959 Closed September 1991Master post, is on private land and we got permission from the owner before entering, it was a surprise to see yet more artifacts that tell a story of times past. Post is in good condition .The Christmas Common communications mast is a nice backdrop (ex USAF with hardened structures and now down as a site for sale)

Nice one combat, great set of pic's, still looks the same as when I visited this post back in June/10.

Still a nice post by the looks of it. The 'plate' is some photographic paper that has been used in the GZI, 'Battery positions and feeds' is where the radio was positioned and the cable to the radio mast, 'battery trays/box' is for holding jerry cans containing water, and the silver box is a timer for the lights (in an unusual place though) :)

Always thought that this post was being 'cared for' by the owner !! It really is amazing how well certain objects survive ( without the harmful intent from certain elements of society !!) because i know that 1991 only seems like yesterday- but it is now 21 yrs ago !!
