Over the last few weeks i've been experimenting with my old 35mm SLR camera. After finally getting a couple of films developed i found some shots of Pyestock. While scanning these in my computer went badly wrong so there are a few missing but here is the first 8 shots.

any comments welcome

The blurred ghosts are strangely brown and son ;-)

Cheers and yeah it would be a shame for them to spoil. Probably be well interesting too.

tip for scanning : don't plug a 1998 scanner into an unstable xp system and botch some universal drivers on. It really throws a spaz
 
Strong stuff, I really like that tonal range its something you can really only do with film. they do though look a bit washed out which is probably a side affect of the scans. It could probably be cleaned up in photoshop.

I thought 1 and 3 Were particularly nice. I think number 7 would be better with the blue thing on the left cropped out. I look foreward to seeing more.
 
Good stuff mate, like the first picture its kind of mesmerizing:cool: also the forth picture, what the hell is that, it looks like the whole tunnel was a giant blender or something:eek:

King Al, that object is a water spraying device for cooling the exhaust gases in one of the test cells. Its on runners and was wheeled into place and plumbed in once the engine was installed. From what I remember it's in test cell 1.

I've just noticed, is that me and son of SB in pic 6 ?

Thankyou RM, I have to agree there is a certain magic about shooting in film. Wouldn't be able to do it all the time like you used to though! Yep the crappy old scanner has washed them out majorly, they are much better in print.
 
I got a preview of these last night, very nice Mr. B! Makes a change from all the digital pics we've seen from Pyestock.
I'll have to get my 35mm SLR chugging away again.:mrgreen:
