Visited with Konrad.
I've had these on my list for a while now and by chance managed to get hold of one of the key holders. There's been a degree of turmoil with these deep shelters and plotting rooms, with extensive vandalism/break-ins pushing the council to the point where they've been threatening to bulldoze them. Luckily they're now in the right hands! Was great to finally get down there and see them This was my first permission visit.
So without further ado, here's a mish mash of pics!
Had a little play with my GoPro to try and utilise the fisheye type lens on it.

The first deep shelter was actually rather short. They all seem to be of a similar design, with two long, interconnected parallel tunnels.

Some of the tunnel systems are cleaner than others. Obviously they're being looked after and swept out now.

There's a lot of dust in this place though. I was kicking myself because I left my mask in my car.

One of the plotting rooms had some obvious fire damage from a while back. Why anyone would even make the effort to do this, I don't know.

All-in-all a good day out!
Thanks for looking,
