Hi,
long term lurker and enjoyed reading and viewing all posts from you guys and girls. Standard of photography is also absolutely amazing.
So, last year when camping with the dustbin lids, we found an old pill pox that is buried below a walkway from Sheringham Park to the local beaches. I do not know the history, but the old North Norfolk Railway Line runs nearby. There is a chain of defences along this coastline and specifically in this area.
Photos are shown below and certainly there is evidence in the pill box of someone sleeping rough at some time. I have also included a little nugget at the end of a mortar spigot that is also very close to a pillbox skirting Sheringham Park.
I do not recall seeing these pics on here before, so hope that you enjoy virgin pictures.

I hope you enjoyed my first exploring post?
Near to where I live, a building development has unearthed another pill box that was hidden by dense undergrowth. In the next week, I will try to get this photographed as well as again, think that no-one else has posted it before.
(Krela - your notes for posting pictures are great and easy to follow, even for a dinosaur like me - thankyou)!
