A large oil fired power station in Kent closed at the end of 2012 ,demolition then began in the summer of April 2014. A year after demolition had begun I visited, in the Summer of 2015 with 2 non members by this time a large proportion of the site had been reduced to piles of rubble and scrap metal. I then returned a year latter with Slim Jim for a brief excursion. There is a lot more too this site than the photos show, I'm not overly pleased with the standard of them either, but we never got round all of it at a leisurely pace due to us being conscious of security routinely circling the site, demolition workers hours of work, and loosing the cover of darkness.
The stations chimney has been demolished today footage of which is in the link below.

The site from the nearby Martello tower,
Control!
Lab,
Looking out to the CCGT station,
Chimney ready to go full allah akbar,
Finally a short bit of blurry video in which you can hear the humming of the nearby step up transformers (I think that's what they were), presumably the distribution infrastructure was being used by the adjacent new CCGT plant.
-I can't embed the video so heres the link
I may not have covered all I wanted to but I look back fondly at my 2 trips here great fun.
