This is a re-visit as the first time I had a look round here it was brief, unplanned and I only had my camera phone. Hence thought it was time to have a proper look. Won't do the history bit again as you can find it here: Tapton Court: Previous Report
Not sure much has changed since my last mooch. This wonderful Grade II listed late 19th century pad built for Sheffield steel magnet John H Andrew is still owned by Sheffield University.
What I did find out in addition to the above is that there was a serious fire here in September 2010. This explains why the roof is in such good nick as Sheffield University must have had to make good the roof after the fire, due to the building's listed status. Fire brigade pictures of them tacking the fire here:

The site is sealed up like a tin of sardines plus there are CCTV cameras dotted around the place. Hence externals only, but given the exquisite stonework, well worthy of a report.
