We headed over to Billesdon a couple weeks ago as we hadnt been for a good few years. We went to see what was left of the P.O.W Camp (Which is pretty much nothing, all huts have now been removed with only the old concrete foundations remaining and a few signs to mark out were things once were, the football fields are now a nature pool for wildlife (i love that irony myself) the water/sewage works remains are still in the field around the same condition as they have been for years. so really not much to see here now in terms of the pow camp but its nice to pop in and see some nature/ learn abit about the land. anyways we headed a little up the road to the R.O.C Post which is still somewhat intact although rubbish covers the inside of the bunker. Made a little video of our finds anyhow, always hate to see these bunkers in such a state, makes me wish i could buy it and restore it to its former glory! but we can dream hey there was still the ww2 aircraft lookout post in the corner of the bushes too looking very sorry for its self,(At least that's what we made it out to be from what is left however most of it lyes across the floor) still nice to see as normally most things like that get destroyed first. sorry about the sound in some places it was very windy that day! hope you enjoy the video, i didn't have my go pro at the time and the lens was slightly broken so was a bit of a struggle but all the next videos coming are done with a bit more planning to say the least. drop us a subscribe on youtube if you can itll be much appreciated. cheers all!
