Done this the late part of last year with The New Mendoza, forgot about it till looking though some pics. It was built in the 1800s from sandstone from Beech caves another explore in the area ;)

The hall has been empty for a few years now but the gardens are still maintained and the rest of the site now has now become a shopping complex come vistor attraction.

From the rear the place is ok looking but gives me anyway, the impression of a wannabee grand hotel? the front though is rather attractive and very pleasing. Not a lot inside apart from vast amounts of rock climbing equipment???

Highlight of the trip was the Boat

Looks like an ace explore! Love the boat, that thing must have been wierd to find!. Nice looking building. Were the fountains still running? Looks like it in pic 3!!

What a gorgeous building, love that. I know they're going to build a family hotel sometime this year (if they haven't already started it,) and also a deluxe hotel on the site as well. Would the Italian style building be used in the deluxe hotel?

Looks like a beautiful place.

Cheers,

:) Sal
