Seen this pop up a couple of times from friends so decided to give it a look whilst in Scotland.done a solo visit on the way home.the building was originally a high school for the city,it closed in 1968 when the school moved to bigger and newer premises.after the move they built a debating chamber for the Scottish parliament.this was before the failed 1979 devolution referendum.this failed to provide a sufficient backing for a devolved assembly.it was later used by the Scottish grand committee.the council bought the building from the Scottish office in 1994.it was proposed that it was used again as a debating chamber for parliament in 1997,but issues were raised over the accessibility and lack of parking and office space.plus it was vunerable to a terrorist attack.future proposals for the building are to turn it into a hotel.this was a fun explore what took a bit of cheek.
