This was a sad time for people up there. when the plant went into administration being undercut by cheaper imported paper. The machines where broken down and exported to new owners in France i believe. This again was begun when it s closure was announced we had already done the Power plant on site 2 years prior.
While others where looking at the old power plant we where in the Papermill getting as mush as possible over time this became harder with more high tech gadgets being installed meant every visit was a adventure but it didn't stop us. this included onsite security some close calls and surprises where entertaining. Didn't think i would ever see 1 intact machine. Never mind 3 Paper machines, packing and raw material where the reward. We had more fun here than you could shake a stick at even had birthday celebration in here
