I've been exploring for a few months now and this is my first report so all feedback is greatly appreciated.
This building caught our eye on the way to another location, so we thought we would take a look. We were at first slightly puzzled as to what this building could've been used for, due to there being stairs leading up from the outside and kitchens and bathrooms on both floors.
I've since done some research and found that it was known as Upwood Hill House. The Ministry of Defence used it as accommodation whilst RAF Upwood was still in use, with one family living downstairs and another upstairs.
The house is huge and has many rooms, unfortunately there isn't much left inside and it's been heavily graffittied - which isn't entirely surprising given it's location. It was still an interesting explore and the first place I have been where we have managed to get in to the cellar - even if it did take some working out!
Apparently there has been a plan for quite some time to develop the land in to new flats and houses, as we continued along the road we saw construction workers starting work on similar looking buildings, so perhaps this will be sooner rather than later
