History:
In 1808 a day school was started in Shirburn supported by the Earl and Countess of Macclesfield. In 1871 this cottage had been converted into a school house and the attendance was 28 boys. In 1946 it was reorganised as a Junior and Infant School before closing in 1950.
The Explore:
The other half of the funky muffin crew was going stir crazy so a broken wrist wasn’t going to stop her on this occasion. This would be the second of four stops we would make this day and I tell you it did not disappoint. This was such a wonderful little location and a joy to explore even though we barely stayed 45min. Absolutely lovely natural decay and only one idiot who felt the need to tag.
Thank for looking
