Built in 1953 as part of the UKs Cold War defences. The bunker is situated in the middle of Paddington Green park and was designed to survive a modest nuclear attack. It closed in the 1960s when it became obvious that nuclear weapons were now so powerful that even deep bunkers would not survive.
There has been plans over the years to convert it into various things such as a music studio but this never happened.
Not much to see inside as it is mostly stripped but a few cool features which made it worth visiting. I did not hang around in this one for too long as the bunker has a strong damp mould smell that after a while makes you feel ill.

Original ventilation dismantled and stacked on the floor
Small plant room
Messenger Room with table/desks still in place.
