The Lansdowne Odeon Cinema opened in 1937 built in a art deco design. The auditorium was located behind a block of flats and shops. The cinema closed in 1974 and became a Top Rank Bingo Club then later on used by Buzz & Gala Bingo. The bingo hall closed in 2020.
When a lot of the old cinemas closed quite a few of them later on became Bingo Halls but not all went to plan and quite a few across the country now remain empty.
This is one of the four abandoned cinemas in Bournemouth the others being ABC Cinema Westover, Odeon Cinema Westover & ABC Cinema/The Grand in Westbourne.

What do we have here two Mercury ARC Rectifiers.
