My first "proper" asylum experience and I loved every minute of of it! The place was huge and we've by no means covered it all.

The comedy began at daft o'clock in the morning when I sent a text to my exploring companion Crashmatt saying that i would be almost an hour later than the time we agreed due to me forgetting that the clocks went forward.......luckily the reply came back "don't worry, i forgot too!"

After meeting up we thought we would try the "direct route" and wander down one of the access roads, now bearing in mind it was first thing and was still dark "who would be around at this time" was the thought!

Well we were only a few yards down the road before a security guy on a motorbike about to start his shift collared us! Cue amateur dramatics of an excuse combined with arm flailing and he just told us to be on our way........looks like we were going in the back way! ;)

Good work guys, looks like it was worth the "stupid o clock" start time.
great photos especially the one of "you" sitting on the bed waiting to be checked in by the staff:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::)

A visit to the railway is always interesting, if you like that sort of thing, the goods yard is very much as it was when the last locomotive arrived. The station all that is left is 10 blocks and some Whittingham brick.

The line itself the main structure is a tunnel/bridge for cattle but a tall wagon could fit through it and a few culverts. Grimsargh station is now an old folks housing and they will all turn out if you venture there " A local area for Local people" between them and the Plough pub the railway runs so a walk to Longridge is a most nice on a summers afternoon

It's on the ground floor of the building due west of the admin building. Or rather, it was, as it's gone without trace now.

Ahh bollocks!! lol thanks anyway, I've been to whit loads and I cant believe there's parts I haven't seen, like the laundry :(
