New home, new start so i thought i would post our first ever explore for y'all!!
After lurking on a certain website for a while, we were driving around and spotted this place, with the access wide, wide open.
a gift from the god of urbex?
So, after almost crashing the car in our excitement, we parked up...... and dived on in, daring each other to go in first like schoolkids!
So, after all the rush and excitement in actually getting into the place, once we got inside the silence was eerie, especially as this site is just off a busy main road. For a couple of seconds we just stood there.... and then, the quote from geordie i will never forget....
'we shouldn't be in here!' with a big 5 yr old's grin on his face!
Dog geordie in tow, dads camera in hand we started our first glimpse into a wider world.....
love the irony of this, the empty fire extinguisher brackets....... then, this..
Geordie's thing, electrics!!
'pigeon corridor'
really, really want to go back here, there was so much we didnt see, as we had dog geordie with us (to warn us if charvas turned up... we really did think we had thought of everything...)
Just haven't got the chance yet!
Could still smell the fire in our nostrils when we finally started to lose our nerve a bit and made our way back to the car.
That was it, we were hooked!!!!
Recent winds and another fire have taken thier toll on this place since we last visited, and their is talk about its sale and subsequent demolition, time is running out for a re-visit but watch this space!!!
