Hello again....I stumbled upon this as I strolled along the waterfront at Tayport, Fife. Don't know what it was (Wolfism, Fez?) but it was totally chaved out. Some nice graffitti.
That is Shanwell upper air station. Used to be a great wee explore 15 odd years ago but some locals started using it for parties and absolutely wrecked the place in the process.
Before it closed you used to see the weather baloons getting launched. Remember watching them from the school window.
As dittohead says, Shanwell UAS, there's a (very faded) sign at the gate
It's where they used to monitor weather and atmospheric conditions mainly for the benefit of RAF Leuchars.
Latterly used by the Met Office, then closed in 92.
Have to agree about the graf...some talented artists there. I do like the window shot with the brambles climbing through and I really like the way you present each report with a pic of yourself...you don't half have a change of heads though, SP!
