I was home from Uni for the weekend and so decided to take the short drive up to everyone's favourite Third County Asylum for another external tour. Rather than a sight-seeing perimeter walk, I wanted to pick out some of the interesting (and sometimes over-looked) external features and details within the landscape, such as the 'street features'.

All in all got about 2 hours up there before Security jumped out of a parked van in the service yard - luckily it was just a case of the usual footpath pointing! Currently a little bored of revision so have finally got them up! Hope you enjoy:

Thank you both for the feedback! Here's the other half of that lamp-post:

That is an excellent clip - up there with the Life on Mars montage! Is there any news on Keith's documentary??

Rookinella's video is also excellent, brilliantly filmed and one of the best songs written to go with it, also a good song seeing as Bowie's brother was in cane hill.

Very nice, I'm surprised Simon hasn't spotted that lamppost before.

All the street lighting equipment around Cane Hill was made by REVO and installed in the 1950s-1960s. I wouldn't mind rescuing some of it before the bulldozers move in (next month) but I'm not exactly the flavour of the month at Cane Hill or English Partnerships.

All the best,
Simon
