Im not sure if this place is that well known. Here is a spot of history on the site.

The Distillery was established by Glenglasshaugh Distillery Co. in 1875, was then taken over by Highland Distilleries Co Ltd in 1890. It closed in 1907, re-opened 1931, closed 1936, In 1956-1960 it was completely renovated and re-equipped. It was eventually mothballed in 1986.

The whiskey was used in some famous blends such as Cutty Sark, Laing's and Famous Grouse. It is the smallest distillery i have visited, consisting of only two stills. Lost told me there was mention of it re-opening in the Press and Journal, somehow i doubt this, it has many leaks and a lot of the equipment has failed with age, the stills themselves have split at the seams anyway..

On with the photos..
