After a good mornings visit to sundon yesterday, myself and prendy had a bit of time to kill(mainly cos we didnt do our usual trick of walking about for 3 hrs!!!!LOL)
So we headed off to look for shefford roc post.
This post has been quite well documented but we couldnt find anything recent.
The post is in the middle of a field behind a farm so after a bit of a hike we found it.
As always nothing was as straight forward as it might seem!!!!

An electric fence was the main problem!!!!!

After a bit of umming an ahhhing!!We decided that we'd come too far to go back !!!
So through we went(not without nearly losin the old crown jewels!!!)see pic!!!

The actual post itself is in its own compound and judging by the height of the stinging nettles no one had visited in a while!!!!!

At first the hatch looked like it had been sealed but after a bit of persuasion we got it open.

So we were in !!!unfortunately someone(no names mentioned)forgot the torch!!!!
So we were "in the dark" with just the flashes from the cams, the inside has been vandalised quite badly and pretty much stripped, but there was still a few bits left.

We closed the hatch, avoided electrocution(lol)and we were off!!!

So there you have it shefford roc post, its there, its accesible,(if your brave!!) and its well worth a look!!
Thanks to prendy for egging me on i would probably have bottled it otherwise!!!!!!

What you needed there mate was a pair of rubber gloves, a croc clip on the end of a bit of wire, and a pointy metal thing on the other end.

Although, if there's beasts in the field, especially horses, make sure you unearth the tape as soon as you are over to stop angry farmers complaining that you've let his animals out.

Saved me grief a few times. :twitcy:

thats pretty trashed was it a 68 closer?

well done for getting in anyway:)
