Visited with my girlfriend and Natevansate.

Having put it off for far too long, I finally got around to visiting the main building. After a while wandering around, I eventually found my way in. I must say, it was worth all the hype, although I get the impression that I'm missing a fair bit because of the demolision. I will hopefully be returning this Sunday if anyone would care to PM me about it.

Anyway, on with the pictures. I didn't get as many as I could, because my battery died and I forgot to charge my spares.

A couple of the keys actually produced sound!

I don't understand quite how this happened.

In all, it was a very good day. Definitely more to see though. I shall return. A few more pictures can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27739561@N07/sets/72157608797848675/

I know. I went back there on Sunday. That lovely collapsed corridor is now completely gone, and so are two small wings. That corridor was (I think) an icon of Cane Hill. If anyone hasn't seen everything yet, I'd advise you to get going fast.

I'll probably go every week, once a week until there's nothing more than a pile of rubble left.

Well, I think it's worth it. It's an amazing place, and there is still a lot left. I will probably be going soon myself, so if you are interested you can email me.

No exact dates mate, never know who's watching the forums.

It looks like they're demolishing from the Water Tower outwards.
Still a hellova lot to see though. This site was massive.
I visit very frequently and if anyone jumps out from behind a wall, I must tell you that when Im scared, I WILL pee myself and cry like a baby !!

I like this set of pictures. Although I get the feeling this has been reported on a hell of a lot, it's always nice to see it from a different perspective. Good work. :)

I visited twice afterwards, but have only just sorted the photographs out. Here are some more:

Note how the corridor is even further gone than the week before.

Now week three. My best visit to date - explored probably the majority of the site and the water tower. I also finally got a shot of the chapel.

Why does this ward have no floor? I thought demolition hadn't affected the wards yet?

Of course, this place barely needs demolition. Vincent/Vanburgh.
