First of our day trip out. Went with Scotty. Thanks to RAF_Firenat999 for his post about this being a possible site a while back this year.

We arrived to find a reasonable bit of destruction. Most of what appeared to be the floorboards and carpet had ended outside.....Still we did our usual scope around and before long we had a way in sussed.

Dodging nails here and there we got in to find a room with no floor boards, then another and another. Obv pikeys had been in to strip what ever they could......not mindless destruction but systematic removal of anything worth value in trade in it seemed.

Looks like the building became too small or too costly to keep as a conference centre and the services moved to the University of Exeter campus.

Shame because parts of the building are cracking. As you will see though, things like pipes, rads and fireplaces have been removed! Shame!!!

On with the pics:

Cheers, Scotty over to you mate.

Very good.

The blue carpet in the 5th picture is almost the same as the one in my parents' lounge.

I see at least one fireplace wasn't ripped out.

As trashed as it is its still an impressive building, hope they do something with it,nice one Scrub n Scotty ;)
