This is one I've been meaning to do for a while. There's not much left in terms of buildings - only the footbridge, but you can cleary see the hoverpad where the hovercraft came out of the water, and also numbers and letters on the floor show you where the cars used to rack up before they get on the craft. I know that the terminal building was still there in the mid-eighties, when I was a kid, though I don't think they were using it for passenger traffic then. Interestingly enough, its sort of accidentally turned into a really excellent nature reserve - lots of wading birds and the like. If you want to know a bit more about it , there is some info at

Happy hovering!
GDZ
These are two views of the footbridge, which I believe was a crew access point(?)
These show the markings letters and numbers on the floor which were were cars waited
These two show the actual hover pads, one of which looks back towards Richborough Power Station (covered extensively elsewhere on the DP site!)
It would appear that the fixings in these two were either part of a mechanism which was used to jack the hovercraft up to inspect them(mentioned in the above website) or part of a gantry which had barriers on it. I can't quite pinpoint the location from the aerial photos!
The only bit of the terminal building that is left is this wall!
And finally one look back toward the footbridge, beyond which lies the Viking Ship (another story completely...)
